Massachusetts public health officials confirmed 655 new coronavirus cases and six new deaths on Sunday.
This latest report puts the total number of confirmed cases in the state at 653,190 and the death total at 17,330 since the beginning of the pandemic, according to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. The seven-day average of positive tests on Sunday dipped to 1.24%. That figure has fallen slightly each day since April 27, and in general has been declining since the end of March.
