Monday s number of new daily COVID-19 cases is the lowest reported by the DPH since Oct. 8, 2020, when 409 new confirmed cases were reported.On Sunday, the DPH reported 786 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, which was the lowest reported daily total since Nov. 2, 2020.State health officials also added 18 confirmed COVID-19-related deaths to the state s total, which is now 17,288. So far, about 7.35 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been shipped to Massachusetts, of which 85.1% have been administered. So far, about 2.63 million people in the state are fully vaccinated. The Get Back Mass project will survey and test all randomly selected participants, including those who do not have symptoms. The project will use two home-collected tests: one to test for current COVID-19 infection; and one to test for past COVID-19 infection or vaccination (antibody test). The results will improve our understanding of how COVID-19 has spread across Massachusetts and which communities and populations are most affected.
