The Massachusetts Department of Public Health requires two rounds of samples below the guidelines level, a week apart, to rescind the advisory against recreational activities. That second advisory was scheduled for Tuesday, July 27, with results expected in on Wednesday, July 28. If the results again are safe, the lake could open on that day at the earliest.
