After students at Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Three Rivers went “Wild About Reading” in March, the school concluded its reading month activities with a safari-themed scavenger hunt.
Pandemic-related gathering restrictions precluded the annual school-wide family reading night, but principal Sharon Voege and staff still wanted to wrap up with a special activity.
So they reached out to the community and collaborated with several businesses and organizations to make it happen.
On Wednesday, participating children and their families started at the school, where they received directions to six locations around the community, each one marked with a sign featuring a monkey.
