Authorities say they seized marijuana-laced Fruity Pebbles bars, gummy bears and brownies during a drug raid Monday morning at a house on Robert Street in the Sheatown section of Newport
It took four officers to subdue a man being arrested for domestic assault in the Laurel Run Trailer Park on Saturday night, according to police.
Chad M. Solarek, 30, is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest and harassment in connection with the incident, according to a criminal complaint filed by state police.
According to the complaint:
State troopers responded to a reported physical domestic altercation in the trailer park at about 9:25 p.m. Saturday.
When Solarek saw police arrive he closed the front door to the trailer. Concerned for the safety of the reported victim, officers opened the door and Solarek confronted them, yelling that it was his house and police had no right to be there.
