Abhimanyu, the Class X student, was stabbed to death during an altercation between two groups on Wednesday night. As per the CPI(M), the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) was behind the murder of Abhimanyu, who was reportedly a Students Federation of India (SFI) activist. “It was a clear political murder,” said CPI(M) Alappuzha district secretary R Nazar.

Sivadasan, were cleared by the party state secretariat which met here, as the nominees for the two Rajya Sabha seats. Like Vijayan, the two also hail from Kannur. Brittas, till Kairali TV channel was launched in the late nineties, was the bureau chief of the party organ Deshabhimani and was posted in Delhi.

He also spearheads the channel s political programming and is part of its commentariat. Mr. Brittas had worked in New Delhi as correspondent of CPI(M) party organ Deshabhimani and later the Kairali television.
