Customs collected Rs54 109b in 2020-21

July 4, 2021 The Model Customs Collectorate of Jinnah International Airport Karachi, under the supervision of Irfanur Rehman Khan, Collectorate Customs, has achieved another milestone by collecting Rs54,109.87 million during the financial year 2020-2021. Irfan Ali, a spokesman for the Customs, said on Saturday the Model Customs Collectorate of Jinnah International Airport, had collected a total revenue of Rs54,109.87 million during 2020-21 as compared to the Rs49,391.52 collected during the fiscal year 2019-20, which reflected a growth of 9.5 per cent despite the resurgence of Covid-19 during the year. The collection of revenue in 2020-2021 included the record receipt of the custom duty Rs22,635.38, sales tax Rs21,361.76, income tax Rs10,106.14 and FED Rs6.59 million.

QUETTA: The customs duty collection by the Model Customs Collectorate (Appraisement), Quetta, during the period July-May 2020-21 stood at Rs6,380 million against the assigned target of Rs4,224m. It collected Rs2,156m (42 per cent) more than the assigned target. During the month of May, 2021, the Model Customs Collectorate (Appraisement), Quetta, collected Rs474m as Customs Duty which is Rs115m above the assigned target of Rs359m. It collected total revenue of Rs25 billion during July 2020 to May 2021, which is more than 35pc of the assigned target. A spokesman for the Model Customs Collectorate said here on Friday that collection was Rs20 billion during financial year 2019-20.
