United States Attorney Andrew Birge announced that Mohamed Haji pleaded guilty to conspiring to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization. Haji is one of three people who pleaded guilty to conspiring to provide material to ISIS. Muse Muse and Mohamud Muse pleaded guilty to the same crime in January 2020.

9 & 10 News April 28, 2021 New charges have arisen against three defendants in the plot to kidnap Governor Whitmer. United States Attorney Andrew Birge announced Wednesday that a federal grand jury has returned an indictment that adds new charges of conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction against three defendants, and federal firearms violations against two defendants. Court documents state that Adam Fox, 40, of Wyoming; Barry Croft Jr.. 45, of Bear, Delaware; and Daniel Harris, 23, of Lake Orion are charged with knowingly conspiring to use weapons of mass destruction against persons or property in addition to their kidnapping conspiracy charges from Oct. 2020. The indictment alleges that Fox. Croft, and Harris intended to use these weapons to facilitate their plot to kidnap Governor Whitmer by harming or hindering her security detail and any responding police officers.
