Authorities in California are investigating the alleged murder of an 82-year-old Covid-19 patient at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, California.
Some days before Christmas, the elderly patient, hospitalized because of Covid-19, decided to seek solace in his Catholic faith and began to pray in the two-person room they shared with one Jesse Martinez, 37. For unknown reasons, this act angered the 37-year-old, who was also receiving treatment for Covid-19. Mr. Martinez later grabbed an oxygen tank and struck the 82-year-old man as he was praying.
The elderly patient has died from the injuries, not from a virus that has killed more than 325,000 Americans.
