TOMS RIVER - A Seaside Park man, who is a convicted sex offender, has been charged with failing to register his updated home address with police under Megan s Law, police said in a news release.
Thomas Lockhart, 61, was arrested Tuesday after an investigation revealed he was living at the Desert Palm Motel in Seaside Park and then allegedly moved without informing authorities, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
On Wednesday, after a warrant was issued for Lockhart s arrest, Manchester Township Police performed a motor vehicle stop on his vehicle and he was taken to jail without incident, authorities said.

MANCHESTER - A township man has pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide and driving under the influence in connection with a 2018 accident in Lacey, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said Thursday.
William Orr, 70, of the Whiting section of the township, was traveling westbound on Lacey Road about 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 28, 2018, when his vehicle drifted into the opposing lane and struck another vehicle head-on, police said.
The driver of the other car, Elizabeth Patashinsky, 40, of Palm Bay, Florida, was later pronounced dead at Community Medical Center in Toms River. The passenger, William Muset, 66, of Whiting, was taken to the same hospital, where he was treated for his injuries and released, authorities said.
