GRAND RAPIDS, MI – High school seniors who are struggling to fulfill their graduation requirements because of the pandemic will get a boost from Grand Rapids Public Schools this year.
The district has lowered its graduation requirements for the class of 2021 to help seniors graduate on time. Students now only need 18 credit hours to graduate, down from the 22 credits usually required by GRPS.
The Grand Rapids Board of Education unanimously approved the temporary graduation amendment at a special board meeting Monday, March 8.
