Itâs unfortunate that the no-holds-barred electoral contest in West Bengal has not ended with the landslide victory for Chief Minister Mamata Banerjeeâs Trinamool Congress. The day-long drama Kolkata witnessed when two state ministers, one MLA and a former Mayor, were arrested did not show constitutional functionaries like the governor and the chief minister in a good light. Nor did the CBIâs pick-and-choose policy redound to the credit of the organisation. The four were allegedly caught on video accepting money from a fictitious company in a sting operation telecast by Narada TV just before the 2016 Assembly election. NEW DELHI: The GST Council will meet on May 28 and is likely to discuss tax rates on COVID-related drugs, oxygen equipment and vaccines.
The meeting among other things is also likely to discuss the compensation mechanism for states GST revenue shortfall for the ongoing fiscal which began on April 1.

First, by winning the assembly election in Kerala, the Left Democratic Front (LDF) broke a long cycle of one-term government in the state which was continuing since 1977. Second, the Communist Party of India (Marxist)-led Left Front failed to win even a single seat in the West Bengal assembly election. In a first since independence, there wonât be a Left representative in the Bengal state assembly.Â

NEW DELHI, May 15: The GST Council will meet on May 28 and is likely to discuss tax rates on COVID-related drugs, oxygen equipment and vaccines.
The meeting among other things is also likely to discuss the compensation mechanism for states’ GST revenue shortfall for the ongoing fiscal which began on April 1.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will chair the 43rd GST Council meeting via video conferencing on May 28, 2021.
“The meeting will be attended by MOS Shri @ianuragthakur besides Finance Ministers of States & UTs and Senior officers from Union Government & States,” Office of Nirmala Sitharaman tweeted.
