Illinois CASA announces recruitment initiative

CHICAGO The Illinois Association of Court Appointed Special Advocates is pleased to announce Board Member of the Year: Darlene Roy from CASA of Southwestern Illinois, Judge of the Year: The Honorable Judge Jonathan Braden with the Fifth Judicial Circuit, Staff Partner of the Year: Charlotte Meier, Executive Director for Boone County CASA and Advocate of the Year: Betty Page with CASA of Southwestern Illinois.
Award winners were announced during Illinois CASA’s virtual conference entitled Closing the Gap: Equity in Advocacy held today.
Last year in Illinois there were 31 non-profit CASA programs across 53 counties with nearly 3,000 volunteers who advocated for the best interests of 8,689 child victims of abuse and neglect.
