During the struggle a 35-year-old male officer was injured, breaking his shoulder. The 35-year-old Hervey Bay man was arrested on a number of offences including obstruct police, possess property suspected of use in the commission of a drug offences, possess a knife in a public place and possess property suspected of proceeds of a drug offence. He is due to appear in the Noosa Heads Magistrates Court on March 23. Subscriber only Blue car detergent sparked a neighbourhood scuffle during which a Coast mum pulled a woman to the ground by her hair and kicked her in the side, a court has heard. Kirsty Leigh Martens lashed out at her female neighbour in a Maroochydore unit complex on September 25 last year after the woman had accused her children of throwing blue car detergent over her car. Police prosecutor James Allen said the mother of four swung a clenched fist but missed the woman, who was about to get into her car to leave. Subscriber only A 53-year-old woman charged with operating an illegal brothel from a Sunshine Coast motel must show her face on her next court date. Yan Jiang didn t appear at Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday for six charges including having an interest in premises used for the purposes of prostitution, knowingly carrying on the business of providing unlawful prostitution, knowingly participating in prostitution and possessing tainted property. Jiang was charged after detectives in December closed an investigation into illegal sex work at Mooloolaba. Police alleged at the time said $10,000 cash was seized near Brisbane Rd during the arrest of three Chinese nationals allegedly involved with the illegal brothel.
