The South Carolina football program has its quarterback for the 2022 class.
Middletown (Del.) four-star quarterback Braden Davis committed to the Gamecocks on Instagram Live Friday night, choosing South Carolina over finalists Cincinnati, Duke, Georgia Tech, N.C. State, Stanford and West Virginia.
Ranked the No. 14 pro-style quarterback in his class, Davis was the highest-ranked pro-style quarterback still available at the time of his commitment and the fourth-best overall quarterback still available according to the Rivals rankings.
A throw-first QB who can also make plays happen with his legs, South Carolina offered Davis on April 6 at the end of a virtual visit to learn more about the program.

Yesterday I focused on offensive guard Tristen Hoge, and you can read that HERE. Today, I’m looking at another UDFA signing by Joe Douglas in TE Kenny Yeboah.
Kenny is another player that I had a draftable grade on (4th-6th) and as such, I’m excited to see him join the Jets as a free agent.
Yeboah grew up in Rhode Island before moving to Allentown Pa, a city renowned for its baseball roots and home to the Phillies AAA minor-league affiliate team, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
Enrolling at Parkland High School just before his junior season, Kenny lined up as a receiver, cornerback, and kicker. He immediately showed his catching ability on both sides of the ball. As a senior, he caught 72 passes for 1,160 yards and 14 touchdowns, which was then a school record. He also added 5 interceptions as a defensive back highlighting his hands.

Projecting how the SEC is going to finish right after spring practice is a pretty foolish exercise.
But you know what? It never stopped us before.
Yes, a lot can go wrong between now and the start of training camp in August. Guys can get hurt. They can get in trouble. They can inexplicably dive into the transfer portal.
In short, the snapshot of your favorite team could be completely different in three months.
But you know what? This time last year we didn’t know if we were going to even HAVE a college football season. And we certainly didn’t know that the SEC would play a 10-game conference-only schedule. That decision was not announced until July 30.
