The Belarusian authorities have significantly limited opportunities for cooperation by deciding to expel Consul
Jerzy Timofeyuk in Brest. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland
Polish Foreign Ministry promised to respond quickly and adequately to the expulsion of the Polish diplomat. Poland supports the independence and sovereignty of the Belarusian state. However, the authorities of this country, by the decisions we have recently observed, exclude the possibility of dialogue and cooperation, - Marcin Pszydacz said.
In Marcin Przydacz s opinion, the Belarusian authorities, having taken such a politically motivated decision, have significantly limited the opportunities for cooperation, among other things.
In an interview with BelTA Oleg Gaidukevich, member of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party, has welcomed the decision of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to expel the Polish consul.
Consul of the Consulate General of Poland in Brest Jerzy Timofiejuk participated in an unofficial event timed to the “day of the cursed soldiers”. The event took place in Brest on 28 February and involved representatives of non-governmental and youth organizations with ties to Poland.
