All online appointments filled for Marquette County Health Department COVID-19 vaccine clinics | News, Sports, Jobs

Jan 18, 2021 MARQUETTE All online appointments for the upcoming Marquette County Health Department COVID-19 vaccine clinics have been filled at this time, according to the health department’s website at mqthealth.org. The link to schedule appointments was made available at 10 a.m. today at mqthealth.org. The appointments were only available to those 65 and older. The vaccine clinics that were available for appointment scheduling today will be held Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the Northern Center located on the Northern Michigan University Campus in Marquette. Due to vaccine availability, a limited number of appointments were available, according to the health department.

The letter, signed by Baraga County Sheriff Joe Brogan and eight other county officials, called out the state of Michigan’s coronavirus restrictions and stated that the county no longer has the “intention of participating in the unconstitutional destruction of our citizens’ economic security and Liberty. “We further declare our intention to take no action whatsoever in furtherance of this terribly misguided agenda,” the letter continued. Baraga County Memorial Hospital in L’Anse responded to the letter Thursday, reassuring hospital patients that it’s still safe to visit the facility if need be.

MARQUETTE, MI    The Marquette County Health Department is offering the first COVID-19 vaccination clinics for those 65 and older this week. The clinics take place Thursday and Friday (January 13 and 14) from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Baraga Gym at 300 West Spring Street in Marquette. Residents must make an appointment in advance to be given a vaccination. Those who show up without an appointment will not get a vaccine at that time. Make an appointment at www.mqthealth.org. Click on the “COVID-19 VACCINE” link, then click on the “MAKE A COVID-19 VACCINATION APPOINTMENT” link. Residents will be able to schedule their appointment beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday. A picture ID will be required at the time of your appointment.
