AMERICANS will honor the life and work of civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr as they celebrate MLK Day today (Monday, January 18, 2021).
The federal holiday, which was not celebrated in all 50 states until 2000, is commemorated annually on the third Monday of January.

Monday, Jan. 18 is Martin Luther King Jr Day, a day to remember the message and vision of the late Dr. King and a day of service. There are several ways to honor King, both in-person and virtually.

Albany County officials marked Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with a wreath-laying Monday morning.

TRI-STATE (WFIE) - Throughout the upcoming week, several communities will be remembering the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
However, multiple events are expected to be quite different this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The University of Southern Indiana and the University of Evansville are both planning to honor Dr. King starting Monday.
