MARTINSVILLE, Va. – An arrest has been made in a weekend shooting that left a man dead outside a Martinsville apartment complex.
Charles Brandon Coleman has been charged with first-degree murder and firearms counts in the shooting death of 51-year-old Andre Douglas King, also of Martinsville.
The homicide occurred on June 27th at the Maplewood Apartments at 1446 West Fayette Street in Martinsville.
King was arrested without incident by the Martinsville Police Department and members of the US Marshals Office Fugitive Task Force in Martinsville.
He is also charged with possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
King is being held in the Martinsville City Jail without bond.
