Live On Stage Marshalltown is returning and has finalized its 2021-22 season.
The 82nd season will feature six acts beginning Oct. 10. All performances will be held in the 1,200-seat Marshalltown Performing Arts Center.
This year’s line-up include:
• Branden & James – Oct. 10
• Revoiced – Nov. 22
• Duo Baldo – March 22
• Mark Kingswood – May 15
Live On Stage Marshalltown President Bonnie Lowry said, “After months of dealing with the pandemic shutdown, entertainer’s schedules, social distancing concerns and the general unknown, I’m thrilled to announce that the board has voted to move forward, bringing back world class live entertainment to Marshalltown. I think people are more than ready for live music again.”

The Marshalltown Community School District anxiously awaits the new opportunities for increased student participation, school pride and individual student and team success that the creation of the new interscholastic conference will provide in the 2022-23 school year. Marshalltown plans to form a new 10-team conference with the districts of Ames, Des Moines, Fort Dodge, Mason City and Ottumwa and believes this decision is in the best interest of our students, families and our community.
Marshalltown High School has a rich history of interscholastic excellence and success dating back to the early 1900’s. It has achieved 34 state sanctioned state team championships with the first being in wrestling in 1925 and the most recent this year’s 2021 boys’ bowling team. Individual statewide athletic achievements have been recognized, since 1965, on a Wall of Honor found on the south endcap wall of the MHS Roundhouse and soon all documented pre-1965 individual state

Putting out a call to artists, the Marshall County Arts and Culture Alliance is seeking commissions for three public art projects.
The projects include a work of art for permanent installation at the Marshalltown Performing Arts Center, a mural for the Marshalltown Animal Rescue League and a mural at McGregors Furniture and Mattress on Main Street.
The permanent installation of art at Marshalltown Performing Arts Center is a long-term project, potentially taking up to 18 months to two years to complete, said Marshall County Arts and Culture Alliance Executive Director Amber Danielson. The project is slated to be completed by the end of this year.
