WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) Following approval from health regulators earlier this week many COVID-19 vaccination clinics in the region will begin offering Pfizer shots to those ages 12-15.
Marathon County’s community vaccination site at Northcentral Technical College will take walk-in appointments for the shots. Hours for the clinic are 11 AM to 7 PM every Tuesday through Saturday. Appointments can be made online if desired.
Marshfield Clinic Health System is also making the vaccine available to those over the age of 12 as of today. Information on how to schedule your shot can be found online including via walk-in or by appointment. Those without internet access can call 1-877-998-0880

MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) Officials with Marshfield Clinic have announced they will once again issue the single-dose Janssen COVID-19 vaccine, commonly known as the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, following a nationwide pause on the shot two weeks ago.
According to a press release, the vaccine will be issued at a limited number of sites in the Marshfield Clinic Health System. The release did not specify which sites those would be.
The vaccine will now come with a warning against a rare form of blood clots known as TTS. Six women in the US reported the syndrome, which comes with a rare combination of clotting and low platelet counts.
STEVENS POINT – Online learning will end for most Stevens Point students in May.
The Stevens Point Area Public School District will return to in-person classes five days a week at all schools and grade levels starting May 17, Superintendent Craig Gerlach said during Monday s School Board meeting.
The small subset of students choosing to attend school through the district s online learning center will continue to do so for the rest of the year. Children in the district s early childhood and 4-year-old kindergarten will continue their schedule of two days of in-person classes.
Stevens Point public school students haven t been physically in classrooms five days a week since March 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic forced closures across the country. Since then, the district went from all online classes last spring to a mix of in-person and online classes last fall. WESTON, WI (WSAU) A local health group is holding a walk-in vaccine clinic this weekend.
Sunday, April 18th Marshfield Clinic is holding a COVID-19 vaccine walk-in clinic at their Weston location on Ministry Parkway. The clinic begins at 7:30 a.m. and will run until 1 p.m. or when the site runs out of vaccine doses.
The clinic has 250 doses of the Pfizer vaccine to give out to those 16 or older on a first-come-first-serve basis. Appointments are not necessary for the first shot at the clinic. A second-dose appointment will be scheduled for those who receive the vaccine at the clinic on Sunday.
