BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) â Stephanie Hollingsworth could easily understand why mail would be slower around the holidays, especially in a pandemic, but when she tracked one of her packages and found it sitting at a post office, she started making calls.
âIt was a full 6-7 days and I finally called,â said Hollingsworth. âI called and said, âWhatâs going on?â The postal worker was really nice. He looked it up and said, âItâs here, but I donât even know why itâs here.ââ

Adorned with red and silver ornaments, a tree in the Hall County Magistrate Court’s lobby is honoring members of the Hall County Sheriff’s Office who have died in recent years.
Last year, the tree held decorations and a portrait of Deputy Nicolas Blane Dixon, who died in July 2019 after pursuing suspects near Highland Avenue.
