Malden Catholic’s Administrative Assistant for Athletics Sherry Endicott recently announce her retirement after 20 years of service and MC Director of Athletics William Raycraft named Matthew Blair as MC’s new assistant athletic director.
Two decades at Malden Catholic
For the past 20 years, Endicott P’99, 01, 04 and 06, served Malden Catholic in many roles throughout the school. She began working at the front desk and eventually joined the athletics office as the administrative assistant supporting the programs by managing transportation, correspondence and uniform/equipment distribution. As a result of her dedication to the school, over the years Endicott has earned the MC Adult Athletic Service Award, the Theodore James Ryken Award and received special recognition at MC’s 2021 Baccalaureate Mass.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many local families have been grappling with food insecurity and relocation, among a multitude of adversities. Remote classrooms are challenging to navigate; and Malden Catholic High School (MCHS) sophomore, Alondra Enciso Torres of Revere, aspires to aid other students and their families in accessing vital resources.
“A tremendous number of families are struggling during this global pandemic, so it is important that we help these families,” asserted 15-year-old Alondra. “I cannot imagine how hard it has been for children who are younger and just getting started with school to experience virtual learning without the necessary technology.”
