Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], April 19 (ANI): In view of the rising cases of COVID-19 in the country, all universities, colleges and schools in Jammu and Kashmir shall remain closed for imparting on-campus/in-person education to the students till May 15, 2021.
This was announced by Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha in a high level meeting chaired by him on Sunday to review the COVID-19 situation in Jammu and Kashmir, which witnessed some major decisions in the direction of containment and control efforts for mitigating the spread of the virus in the union territory (UT).

Jammu: In view of the increasing cases of COVID-19 in the country, all universities, colleges and schools in Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed till May 15, 2021 to provide on-campus / in-person education to students.
It was announced by Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha at a high level meeting to review the COVID-19 situation in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, which saw some major decisions in control and proliferation of control efforts. Viruses in the Union Territory (UT).
After detailed discussion, it was decided to discontinue all universities and colleges in Jammu and Kashmir to provide on-campus / in-person education to the students till May 15, 2021, except courses / programs, including physical attendance. Except as required, students will go into online learning mode due to lab / research / thesis work and internship etc.

Schools, colleges, universities closed in J-K till May 15, only limited gathering allowed
The order stated that ceiling on the number of people permitted to attend gatherings /functions shall be 20 in case of funerals: 50 for all kinds of gatherings at Indoor venues.
