The Sardar Patel Covid Care Centre at Radha Soami Beas in Chhatarpur has been operational from Monday morning.
NEW DELHI: Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday announced that the capacity of the Sardar Patel Covid Care Centre in South Delhi will be increased to 5,000 beds in the coming days.
The Sardar Patel Covid Care Centre at Radha Soami Beas in Chhatarpur area has been operational from Monday morning.
Chief minister Kejriwal made a visit to the facility in the morning.
Addressing a virtual press conference, Kejriwal said, We are also trying to increase oxygen beds in Delhi. Today morning, I visited the centre that has been created at the Radha Soami Satsang Beas. It has started functioning as of 10am today morning.
The Sardar Patel Covid Care Centre in south Delhi will be operational from 10 a.m. on Monday, an official statement said.The Union Home Ministry has asked the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) as the nodal force to manage the centre at Radha .

New Delhi, Apr 25 (UNI) The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), which is the nodal agency on Sunday informed that all the preparations for opening the Sardar Patel COVID Care Centre (SPCCC) at Radha Soami Satsang Beas at Chhatarpur in South Delhi have been completed and the facility would start functioning on Monday from 1000 HRS onwards.
In an official statement, the ITBP said, all the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the admission of patients to the Oxygenated 500-bed facility at the SPCCC “will be strictly followed and all laid down protocols will also be adhered to”. Here oxygen would be given via oxygen concentrators and oxygen cylinders said a senior ITBP official told UNI.

AAA District Monitoring Officer for Namakkal S. Madhumathi reviewed various containment measures in the district and advised officials to intensify break-the-chain campaign among the public here, there by making the district COVID-19 disease free.
Ms. Madhumathi visited a COVID-19 care centre and inspected the arrangements. She also visited a fever camp and reviewed the progress of vaccination at the Rasipuram Government Hospital.
According to officials, .as many as 1,13,139 persons have received vaccination, including healthcare and frontline workers. The district has 1,235 beds, including COVID-19 care centre facilities. There are 27 containment zones in the district.
According to officials, since April 1, ₹22.12 lakh have been collected as fine for violation of safety protocols.
