STAFF REPORTER GUWAHATI: All the State committees of the APCC (Assam Pradesh Congress Committee) will carry out a series of protests from July 7 to 17 against the spiralling prices of petrol, diesel and essential commodities. The APCC on Monday informed the media that the decision to stage the protests was taken in an AICC (All India Congress Committee) meeting convened on June 28. In the meeting, Congress president Sonia Gandhi had issued instructions to State committees to carry out the protests. On Sunday, in a zoom meeting of all district presidents with AICC general secretary and APCC in-charge Jitendra Singh Alwar and APCC president Ripun Bora along with MPs and senior leaders, a series of programmes were chalked out.
