Police: Man arrested on drug, gun charges a person of interest in York City shootings York Dispatch A 19-year-old York City man arrested Monday on felony drug and firearm charges is a person of interest in several shootings, according to York City Police. Anthony Xavier “A-Rod” Colon faces a charge of possessing a firearm with an altered manufacturer number and three counts of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver drugs. All are felonies. He also faces three counts of intentional possession of a controlled substance by person not legally allowed to and a charge of use or possession of drug paraphernalia. All are misdemeanors.

Police: Conewago man accused of torturing mother's dachshund York Dispatch A Conewago Township man was charged with animal cruelty after police said he tortured his mother's miniature dachshund. Travis Mervin Mitzel, 29, of the 300 block of Butter Road, faces a felony charge of aggravated cruelty to an animal by torture and a misdemeanor cruelty to an animal charge. Mitzel, 29, is free on a $20,000 bond. He was arrested and arraigned Feb. 28  before District Judge Keith L. Albright. Northern York County Regional Police said Mitzel had threatened his mother "in the past about hurting and killing this specific dog" and "made it clear that he does not like this dog because it barks and growls at him."

Police: Indiana man flew to York County to have sex with 13-year-old girl York Dispatch A 19-year-old from Indiana faces felony charges after he came to York County to meet and have sex with a 13-year-old girl, police said. Andrew Joseph Joyce, of Kokomo, Indiana, is charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than  16, statutory sexual assault, corruption of a minor by a defendant age 18 or older and unlawful contact with a minor. All are felonies. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of indecent assault of a person less than  16. West Manchester Township Police were dispatched about 6:30 p.m. Feb. 21 to a home on Taxville Road after the girl's mother found Joyce sleeping in her daughter's bedroom, according to charging documents.

Two vehicle crash LOCK HAVEN — Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at the corner of South Fairview Street and Bellefonte Avenue at 3:39 p.m. Jan. 21. Drivers were Heather D. Garman of Lock Haven, and Barbara A. Kessinger of Lock Haven. Garman was transported to UPMC Lock Haven by ambulance with suspected minor injuries, as was a passenger in her vehicle, Barbara Morse who suffered a head laceration. There were three passengers in the Kessinger vehicle and one of them was transported to the hospital, police said. According to police, Garman made a left turn in front of the Kessinger vehicle, which was eastbound on Bellefonte Avenue. Garman will be cited for improper left turn, police said.
