Reuter Sentenced to Prison for Child Porn
On August 2nd of last year, 33-year-old Kyle Reuter was arrested by officers with the Sheridan Police Department for having child pornography on his cellular phone. At a hearing in early February, Reuter, pursuant to terms of a plea agreement reached with the State, pleaded “guilty” to the charge of Sexual Exploitation of Children- Possession of Child Pornography.
At a sentencing hearing Thursday, District Court Judge John Fenn accepted the plea agreement and sentenced Reuter to not less than 7 and not more than 9 years in prison. Reuter will receive credit for 159 days of time served.

A Sheridan man received a suspended sentence Thursday in Fourth Judicial District Court for distributing methamphetamine in the Sheridan area in 2019. District Court Judge John Fenn accepted the terms of the plea agreement that was reached with the State, and sentenced 57-year-old Glenn Murphy to 2 ½ to 4 years in prison for the charge of Delivery of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine, suspended in lieu of three years of supervised probation.
Two drug possession charges, one for methamphetamine and one for marijuana, were dismissed as part of the plea agreement, and Murphy was given 64 days credit for time served. Murphy was arrested for the crimes in November of 2019 following an investigation by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation. Judge Fenn ordered Murphy to pay $875 in various court costs and attorney fees and stipulated that a condition of his probation be that he enroll in an intensive substance abuse treatment program.

On January 24, the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence in Sheridan County. Shortly after law enforcement arrived on scene, 20-year-old Kiley Green was arrested for an altercation she had with another individual where she allegedly brandished a firearm, threw knives and choked the individual.
Thursday, at an arraignment hearing in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan, Green pleaded “not guilty” to the charges of Felony Aggravated Assault and Battery, Felony Strangulation of a Household Member and Misdemeanor False Imprisonment. District Court Judge John Fenn set the three day trial to begin on August 2nd and scheduled a pretrial conference for July 8 at 10 am. Green’s bond was continued under the same terms and conditions that were previously set in Circuit Court. If convicted on all three charges, Green faces up to 21 years in prison and fines of up to $21,000.
