Two murder cases have hearings scheduled in two different Webb County courts on Monday morning. The defendants are David Romeo Garza Jr. and Adolfo Villalobos, whose cases date back to 2018 and 2014, respectively.
David Romeo Garza Jr., 23, is accused of fatally shooting Laredo Heat Coach Jose Eduardo Salinas Jr., 22, in the face back in 2018. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
In January, 341st District Court Judge Beckie Palomo scheduled a plea hearing for this morning. During a July status hearing that occurred via Zoom, Garza was home with COVID-19, according to the hearing notes.
