Members of the bdht team. A SOCIAL housing provider in Bromsgrove has donated to four charities to help support their services after the Covid pandemic. Bromsgrove District Housing Trust (bdht) has donated £3,000 to organisations including Primrose Hospice, which supports patients with life-limiting illnesses, Dodford Children’s Farm charity which provides local children with a countryside experience, and the Basement Project which offers a safe and secure environment for young people under 25 years old. Mark Robertson, chief executive at bdht said: “The Covid-19 pandemic has had a very real and lasting impact on individuals across the UK and has put an incredible amount of pressure on businesses which often depend on the generosity of others through fundraising activities.
Playground at Tibberton Court, off Austin Road, Charford. A PLAY area in Charford has been given a revamp, thanks to a local social housing provider. Bromsgrove District Housing Trust (bdht) has given the park on Tibberton Court a new lease of life by installing new equipment and improving lighting and fencing. The park was identified by the trust as an area for regeneration in their scheme to improve facilities for residents across Bromsgrove. Graeme Anderson, director of housing and communities at bdht, said: “This site has previously been identified as a hot spot for anti-social behaviour and was in need of regeneration. After a number of short-term measures during the Covid-19 pandemic, we are delighted to have delivered a more permanent solution for local residents.
