Memorial Day in Milford
MILFORD Milford had a full plate of events for Memorial Day on Monday.
It all started with a free breakfast for veterans at the Italian American World War Veterans Post 40 at Hayward Field. This was followed by a traditional Memorial Day ceremony outside the post.
In lieu of the traditional Memorial Day parade, a town-wide ceremony took place at Calzone Park (the Doughboy Statue) to honor all men and women from Milford who sacrificed their lives, but live on in our hearts and minds.
Later, the Memorial Hall Museum was scheduled to open for anyone interested in town history.
