The school plans a time-honored commencement, to be held outside at Hawthorne Heights, the football field. With the district under green conditions on their COVID warning system, there will be no limits to capacity. And the mask mandate has been amended, dropping the requirement for outdoor events.

Isaac blanked Randy Hernandez in singles play, winning 2-0, with the match using a best two out of three scoring format. The Bulldogs’ Haden Frazier made a run at Simon after dropping the first game 6-0. In the end, Way managed to distance himself just enough to eke out a 6-4 game win to take the set.

That trust was given a boost last Friday when Missouri Military Academy’s runners finished second in the 4x100 and 4x200 events at the Cunningham Invitational in Louisiana. The Colonels’ Gabriel Canonico took silver in the 300 meter hurdles, chased closely by Gage Gibson of Van-Far. Community R-6’s Victoria DiSalvo picked up a second in the girls 300 hurdles while teammate Paige Meyer tied for the second spot in high jump.
