JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 37 new COVID-19 cases and 0 new deaths Monday, April 19.
As of Monday, April 19, there have been 309,223 total cases of the virus since mid-March 2020, which is when the state reported its first case. There have been 7,153 total deaths.
The state health department estimates there have been 297,362 recoveries.

JACKSON, Miss. (WDAM) - The latest daily count of new COVID-19 cases in Mississippi was pegged at less than 160.
The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 157 new coronavirus cases with no new coronavirus-related deaths Sunday.
In the eight-county Pine Belt, new daily coronavirus cases rose by 12.
The latest figures brought the state’s total cases and deaths since February 2020 to 309,186 and 7,153, respectively.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - With coronavirus numbers climbing slightly this week, some health experts are concerned about what that could mean. At the same time, hesitancy among Mississippians to take the vaccine seems to be affecting the state’s ability to administer it.
This week, Mississippi’s coronavirus cases showed signs of increases from the norm with the biggest coming Thursday: 410 cases, the highest number in a month, according to an analysis of data from the Mississippi State Department of Health.
