City officials said the water system is close to being fully restored following a good day on Thursday which saw an increase in the water supply at the city s water treatment plants.
Some pockets of south Jackson, largely in higher-elevated areas, are still having water pressure issues, however. Williams said he is optimistic water service will be restored to those residents by the weekend.
