COPIAH COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Copiah County deputies are investigating after a man was shot and killed Tuesday night.
The shooting happened on Rhymes Road. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found the victim lying on the ground with a gunshot wound.
Investigators said no one is in custody at this time, and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the case.

Share Updated: 1:13 PM CDT Apr 28, 2021 A man is charged with murder in connection with a shooting in Copiah County.Chase Brewer, 47, was shot to death Tuesday evening on Rhymes Road, near Crystal Springs, according to authorities. Brewer s body was found on a neighbor s property.The next day, Harold Duane Poole surrendered at the Copiah County Sheriff s Office and was arrested. The sheriff s office is working on the case with the assistance of the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation. A motive for the shooting has not been released.

Khinyin Chavez Maurice Glenn, 19, of Walnut Grove, was last seen about 10 a.m. Friday in the 1600 block of Estes Mill Road in Leake County, authorities said. Family members say Glenn suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgment.Glenn is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 165 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and has a tattoo of Heaven’s gate and doves on his left arm. Anyone with information about Glenn s whereabouts is asked to call the Leake County Sheriff Department at 601-267-7361.
