It was announced earlier this year that the Kalamazoo Farmers Market which normally operates on Bank Street was going to be temporarily moving locations so that renovations could take place, as their Instagram post made clear: Our Bank Street location is set to undergo extensive renovations in 2021, so we re packing up and moving the Market to Mayor s Riverfront Park! Customers can shop fresh foods and handmade goods from over 100 local farmers, food businesses, and artisans starting Saturday, May 1 from 7am-2pm! Well to prepare for their opening day of the season, they re hosting a soft opening at the new location the weekend before things finally get kicked off. Patrons of the farmers market will have a chance to explore the new setup and location to get familiar with the layout for the upcoming season:

A popular Berrien County restaurant will need to be closed for repairs after a car slammed into the building Tuesday (April 6). It happened at Baguette de France in Berrien Springs. The sandwich shop sits along M-139 just south of the Andrews University campus and north of downtown Berrien Spring, kitty-corner from the county fairgrounds. The starling image was shared on the Baguette de France Facebook page showing damage to an oven and much of the interior. Those familiar with the restaurant will recognize the food prep area is on the back exterior wall of the building facing M-139 and the parking lot.
