OVID TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The Ovid Township Planning Commission has scheduled a public hearing for Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m. at the Township Hall which will give residents a chance to comment on the proposed Retail Sales of Marijuana amendments.
Ovid Township voters said yes on Election Day to having recreational marijuana establishments in the township.
The Adult-Use Marijuana Establishments Ordinance passed 790-657.
It authorizes two marijuana retail establishments within the Township pursuant to the Michigan Regulations and Taxation of Marijuana Act.
The question was placed on the ballot after a petition was filed to replace a February 2019 township ordinance prohibiting marijuana establishments.
