LANSING, Mich. â Employees at bars and restaurants will still need to wear masks until the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) updates its guidelines.
âThe next step is getting the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration and MDHHS on the same page,â said Scott Ellis, director of the Michigan Licensed Beverage Association, in a news release Friday. âMIOSHA needs to update their workplace safety rules that contradict with the new MDHHS order and CDC guidelines.â
With the updated MDHHS order that was released Friday, patrons at bars and restaurants who are seated outside no longer need to wear masks â regardless of whether they are vaccinated or not, according to the MLBA.

LANSING, Mich. â The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services recommends all COVID-19 vaccine providers to start vaccinating children ages 12 to 15 after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control recommended the Pfizer vaccineâs administration to the age group, according to Michigan State Police.
âItâs great news to have a safe and effective vaccine available to protect younger Michiganders as we work to eliminate COVID-19 once and for all,â says Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. âAs a parent, I encourage all parents with children in this group to have a conversation with your family doctor about the vaccine as soon as possible.â
