MLCC suspends another 8 liquor licenses, including Andiamo Warren
The state of Michigan has suspended the liquor licenses for eight more bars and restaurants in the state for violating the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services emergency order banning indoor dining.
Among the eight businesses is Andiamo Italia s Warren restaurant. The Michigan Liquor Control Commission issued an emergency suspension of its Class C liquor license on Thursday, exactly one week after owners Joe and Rosalie Vicari hosted a Zoom meeting to discuss an initiative calling for a compromise with the state government to reopen indoor dining rooms, which have been ordered closed since Nov. 18.

Since the Dec. 9 extension of a pause halting in-person dining in Michigan, eight businesses have had their liquor licenses suspended including one owned by the restaurateur who at one point pushed for business owners to defy the state order.
On Dec. 10, Michigan Liquor Control Commission officers ordered an emergency suspension of the liquor licenses and permits held by Andiamo Italia at 7096 E. 14 Mile Road in Warren. The restaurant and entertainment venue is owned by Joe Vicari, proprietor of the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group, which has more than 20 restaurants in its portfolio.
