MIDDLEBORO A man accused of stealing car parts from a Plympton automobile repair shop was arrested Friday when detectives say they executed a search warrant at his Middleboro home.
The man, 23-year-old Tyler Hamm, is now facing nearly a dozen charges between the two towns after police say he was also found to be in possession of stolen guns and drugs.
The investigation began on Dec. 2 when the Plympton Service Center, at 280 Main St., reported someone had stolen motor vehicle parts from the business. Through the subsequent investigation, Plympton police detectives determined that Hamm was the alleged suspect in the burglary, said Plympton Police Chief Matthew Clancy and Middleboro Police Chief Joseph Perkins, in a joint statement late Friday afternoon announcing Hamm s arrest.
