The Mitchell Board of Education got its first look at the 2021-22 school year budget at its most recent meeting, and saw an increase coming for the district general fund and a lower capital outlay fund thanks to less need for technology upgrades in the coming year.

The Mitchell Board of Education on Monday night approved the annual compensation of several administrators with the Mitchell School District, following an executive session at the end of the meeting.
In addition to the 14 administrator salaries, the board also approved a 3% raise for Joe Graves, superintendent for the Mitchell School District, bringing his salary to $154,403 for the 2021-22 school year. Administrator salaries are considered, adjusted if deemed necessary and approved yearly by the board.
