Author: Mason Storrs Updated: 10:45 PM CDT April 7, 2021 MIDLAND, Texas The Midland County District Attorney Laura Nodolf and the Midland County Sheriff s Office have launched a criminal investigation into the migrant holding facility in Midland County. The investigation follows concern from law enforcement and many elected officials that the children at the Midland migrant facility were subject to abuse and neglect. Those individuals voiced their concerns directly to Health and Human Services and the Office of Refugee Resettlement and received no answers. The level of concern became so high that the Midland County Sheriff s Office and the Midland County District Attorney s Office offered to conduct proper background checks for individuals caring for the children.
