The quad bike rider fighting for life after a horror smash yesterday has been named as Hamza Mushtaq. The college graduate was in collision with a VW Polo and thrown across the road.
Footage from nearby CCTV showed his four-wheeled bike cartwheel down the street as he lay slumped on the floor. Hamza, aged in his 20s, was rushed to hospital following the crash in Ward End Birmingham yesterday afternoon and is in a critical condition.
Relatives confirmed this morning that Hamza was involved in the accident but declined to comment other than to say: ‘He’s still very serious, there hasn’t been much change overnight.’
