Woman lucky to walk away from Herefordshire crash

A WOMAN has had a lucky escape after a crash in Herefordshire this afternoon, firefighters have said. A fire service spokesperson said crews from Kingsland and Leintwardine were called to a single vehicle crash near Aymestrey just before 3pm today. The air ambulance was also called to the scene. One woman was trapped beneath the vehicle and was released into the care of paramedics using specialist tools. She was very lucky to walk away from this accident, a Kingland Fire Station spokesperson said. 14:50 called today to a female trapped under a car near Aymestrey. Air ambulance in Halesowen after elderly woman falls down escalator

The incident happened at Asda in the Cornbow Centre, Halesowen AN ELDERLY woman has been taken to hospital with potentially serious injuries after falling down an escalator in Halesowen. The Midlands Air Ambulance was sent to the scene after the woman fell down an escalator in the Cornbow Shopping Centre outside Asda.  The accident happened at 12.49pm today (Monday April 12). A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: We were called to a patient, an elderly lady, who had reportedly fallen down an escalator. She was taken to Russells Hall hospital with potentially serious injuries. A second patient, a man, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries as a precaution.
