Mr Gale said: “We’ve raised £1,003.79 - a very surprising total due to these trying times - we managed to raise £1,800 last year. “I’ve enjoyed watching people come and go enjoying the front garden and having their pictures taken next to Santa and everyone has been sensible, keeping a safe distance between different bubbles.” The display - which raised money for the Midlands Air Ambulance - closed on December 27. Mr Gale added: “The turn out this year has really restored my faith in humanity. “Hopefully, next year we will be out of lockdown and things will be back to normal and the display I’m planning for 2021 will be bigger and better than ever and I want everyone to come down and celebrate.”
