Itasca County crash between ambulance and dump truck leaves 2 dead, 2 seriously hurt A DNR conservation officer was killed at the same intersection May 24.  June 9, 2021 10:41am Text size Copy shortlink: A procession of ambulances, fire trucks and police cars was making its way from Grand Rapids, Minn. to Anoka Wednesday morning to honor a paramedic who was killed in a crash at the same Itasca County intersection where a DNR conservation officer was killed two weeks ago. The ambulance the paramedic was riding in collided with a dump truck about 10:20 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of County Roads 57 and 336 in Lawrence Township, about 20 miles west of Grand Rapids, the State Patrol said. A patient in the ambulance also died in the crash.
