Worthington High School Students Learn About Ethanol Production – Advanced BioFuels USA

(Minnesota Bi0-Fuels Association)  The Minnesota Bio-Fuels Association (MN Bio-Fuels) and Highwater Ethanol hosted a virtual plant visit for 11 students from Worthington High School on May 6.  During the virtual plant visit, the students were given a virtual presentation on the plant’s operations, facts on the ethanol industry, and shown videos on the ethanol production process and the ethanol industry’s economic impact in Minnesota.  “It was a pleasure explaining to the students from Worthington High School how we convert the corn grown right here into ethanol and the overall importance of the ethanol industry to Minnesota’s rural economy,” said Brian Kletscher, CEO of Highwater Ethanol

American Coalition for Ethanol: Minnesota s Future Fuels Act Legislation Is Model For Clean Fuel Policy Everywhere – Advanced BioFuels USA

“Over the past three years ACE has been mobilizing support for clean fuels policies in the  Midwest, and we are grateful the bipartisan Minnesota Future Fuels Act, which follows the policy blueprint we have recommended, has been adopted by the  Minnesota House of Representatives and has received continued interest during this legislative session,” Jennings said. “We commend Minnesota leaders for recognizing the economic development benefits this legislation would bring to the state, while increasing ethanol demand and providing incentives for farmers for climate-smart practices. “We’re at the cusp of additional clean fuels legislative activity in other states and Congress and believe Minnesota should be the model so farmers and biofuel producers are considered part of the climate solution,” Jennings added.

MN Bio-Fuels, Highwater Ethanol Host Virtual Plant Tour For Sleepy Eye High School – Advanced BioFuels USA

(Minnesota Bio-Fuels Association)  The Minnesota Bio-Fuels Association (MN Bio-Fuels) and Highwater Ethanol hosted a virtual plant visit for 10 students from Sleepy Eye High School on April 20.  During the virtual plant visit, the students, from the school’s Natural Resources class, were given a virtual presentation on the plant’s operations, facts on the ethanol industry, and shown videos on the ethanol production process and the ethanol industry’s economic impact in Minnesota.  “It was a pleasure explaining to the students how ethanol is produced and the role it has in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and strengthening the rural economy in Minnesota,” said Brian Kletscher, CEO of Highwater Ethanol.

MN Bio-Fuels Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary – Advanced BioFuels USA

(Minnesota Bio-Fuels Association) The Minnesota Bio-Fuels Association (MN Bio-Fuels) today celebrates 10 years of representing Minnesota’s ethanol industry. “We are very happy to reach an important milestone in celebrating our 10-Year anniversary as an organization in Minnesota. MN Bio-Fuels was formed to represent Minnesota’s ethanol and other renewable fuel producers. We have and will continue to represent the industry at the local, state and federal level,” said Brian Kletscher, board president of MN Bio-Fuels.  He said MN Bio-Fuels was formed in 2011 to represent Minnesota’s ethanol industry at the state legislature and to regulatory bodies, as well as increase ethanol consumption in the state through promotional and educational efforts.
