The MINNESOTA BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION is currently accepting scholarship applicants for high school juniors and seniors who are interested in pursuing degrees within the broadcasting career field.
The application period is open until MONDAY. MAY 31st. If you have a junior or senior at home who would be interested in applying for this scholarship, check out the posting and requirements here.

For reporters and stations covering civil unrest, the Minnesota Broadcasters Association shared links to several helpful resources.
“It goes without saying that journalists and broadcasters are in the front line,” the association wrote in an email to members. “Tensions are expected to rise leading up to and through the inauguration.”
Most if not all of the resources below were published prior to the events of last week.
Greg Borgen Dies, Age 64
Family recalls a second-generation radio broadcaster and true family man
According to his obituary, he died unexpectedly on Dec. 21.
He was owner and president of Borgen Broadcasting, licensee of Twin City-area stations WDGY(AM) and WREY(AM) and several associated FM translators; and he has been a member of the board of the Minnesota Broadcasters Association.
“Greg was a second-generation radio broadcaster who was known, loved and admired throughout Minnesota, western Wisconsin and beyond,” the obituary read. “He was a true family man, who did everything and more for his family that he loved so dearly.”
