Residents in Grand Bay-Westfield will notice some action on River Valley Drive over the next couple of months as construction crews develop two new apartment complexes for Millennium Estates.
The Rothesay-based company announced on July 16 it would expand to the town with two 12-unit developments. The properties will be located behind the local Guardian and Scotiabank, complete with bay views of the Saint John River.
Andrew Dunn, owner of Millennium Estates, said in an interview Monday each apartment will include two bedrooms and one-and-a-half bathrooms and be outfitted with island kitchens, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.

Homeowners facing bills of up to £100,000 each to fix fire-trap flats have been denied Government funding – because they have the wrong type of defects.
Two blocks, where more than 200 people live, are so dangerous a 24-hour fire patrol keeps residents safe.
They have defective cavity barriers, meaning a blaze could rip through the buildings in minutes.
But leaseholders have been told their application for funding was rejected because their cladding is safe.
