Commuters allege long waiting time during peak hours
More than a week after the digital payment through FASTags was made mandatory at all toll plazas on the national highways, the number of FASTag users at Kherki Daula has crossed the 90% mark. Several commuters, however, alleged that the waiting time was still 6-11 minutes during peak hours since many users did not keep sufficient balance in their FASTag.

Gurugram, Feb 16 : A more than two kilometre long traffic jam was witnessed at the Kherki Daula toll plaza on the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway (NH-48) during peak hours on the first day on Tuesday after the dedicated FASTag lanes order was rolled out.
The FASTag lanes order came into effect from Monday midnight. The toll management authority had deployed a number of Traffic Marshals to clear the traffic snarls.
As expected, long traffic jams were witnessed at the toll plaza with all 25 lanes reserved for vehicles fitted with FASTags. The situation worsened during the rush hours with vehicles queued up for more than two kilometres, specially from Jaipur towards Delhi.

Simi Puri, 37, a Sushant Lok-I resident here, had a FASTag installed on one of her two vehicles. But after the National Highways Authority of India made digital payments though FASTags at its toll plazas mandatory from February 16, she decided to get it installed on her second car as well.
Commuters on the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway (NH-48) may face frequent traffic jams at the Kherki Daula toll plaza for the next few days, as the government has made digital toll payment across the country via FASTags mandatory from Monday .
